SoundMax is based in Taiwan with a factory in China. This company produces computer components and peripherals such as USB audio controllers, USB speakers, and satellite speaker systems. Over 250 employees work at the SoundMax factory producing roughly 200,000 units per month.
Among the SoundMax product lineup are speakers designed for the iPod and other MP3 players, USB speakers, Skype speakers, and a variety of multimedia speakers for gaming consoles, laptops, and computers.
The speaker systems designed for MP3 players are single unit systems featuring two speakers and an input that accepts input from MP3 players as well as computers, laptops, CD players, and gaming consoles. These are small, portable units that allow users to put away the headphones and enjoy their music.
USB speakers are small 2.0 CH and 2.1 CH units that hook into a computer or laptop via the USB port. These units are basic stereo sound speakers that balance price with performance.
The SoundMax Skype speakers are multimedia speakers that connect to computers and laptops. While they are designed with Internet phone calls in mind, they are also fine for standard PC audio uses. These speakers feature headphone and microphone jacks directly on the speaker itself along with a button for quickly switching between the headset and the speakers.
SoundMax also makes 2.1 CH and 5.1 CH satellite speaker systems. Depending on the model, built-in equalizers, LED lights, digital indicators, and other features are available. For computer gamers and movie buffs, a SoundMax 5.1 channel satellite speaker system will deliver the full five channel surround sound experience.
SoundMax focuses on making speaker systems for computers, laptops, and portable media players. This focus allows SoundMax to do one thing and do it well. The product line offers a SoundMax system for just about any budget or use from simple PC audio and Skype phone calls to full surround sound gaming and movie watching.
