Creative provides digital entertainment products designed for the computer as well as the Internet. Creative is best known for its Sound Blaster soundcards and ZEN digital audio players. However, the company also manufactures MP3 players, webcams, keyboards, speakers, headphones, portable media centers, and PC peripherals.
Creative was born in 1981 in Singapore with an emphasis on multimedia. The Sound Blaster line of soundcards was launched in 1989 and quickly became the standard for PC audio. Founder Sim Wong Hoo approached technology with questions such as:

Creative Lab's Sound Blaster cards may have started the multimedia revolution, but are they still leading it? Yes. Today, Sound Blaster cards continue their evolution. What happens under Vista is that titles using EAX or DirectSound3D often output stereo sound without any effects due to the removal of Vendor Extension mechanism.
