ASUS Drivers
ASUS is one of the leading manufacturers of computer motherboards. In fact, 55 million ASUS motherboards were shipped in 2006. ASUS estimates that one out of three computers manufactured in 2006 contained an ASUS motherboard.
The ASUS motherboard lineup is impressive with motherboards designed for high end, mainstream, and value markets. Among the featured chipset manufacturers incorporated in these motherboards are: NVIDIA, Intel, ATI, SiS, VIA, and ULI.
Recently, ASUS introduced "Energy Processing Units" or EPU to their motherboards. Motherboards equipped with EPUs use less power and allow systems to start up much faster. For example, the ASUS Express Gate requires only five seconds for system start up. This mini operating system allows users to quickly access the Internet without having to access the hard disk or wait for Windows to load.
Thermal innovations include CPU coolers for more efficient heat dissipation. The ASUS Lion Square CPU cooler reduces CPU heat by 30%.
In addition to motherboards, ASUS offers a complete line of electronics including: computers, notebook computers, audio cards, the "Eee PC," graphics cards, LCD monitors, networking devices, storage devices, PDAs, servers, webcams, and mobile phones.
ASUS notebooks were the first notebooks in the world to have achieved TCO'99 certification. Among the criteria required for this certification are: radiation emission control, battery consumption, ergonomics, and ecology.
The ASUS Eee PC is a tiny, lightweight mini-laptop computer that comes in at 7". With a power efficient design, built-in wireless, and a rapid start up time, this tiny little computer is designed for those who want to compute on the go.
While motherboards and computer devices are ASUS's primary focus, they also offer other innovative products including an Internet radio which allows users to wirelessly connect to the Internet and listen to thousands of Internet radio stations from around the world. This device is a standalone device that does not need a computer. In addition, ports for MP3 players allow for MP3 playback from connected devices.
ASUS employs over 8000 people around the globe with facilities in Taiwan, USA, Canada, Bangladesh, India, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, South America, Turkey, UAE, Vietnam, Italy, United Kingdom, Spain, Poland, the Netherlands, Czech Republic, and Hungary.
ASUS is an award-winning company who boasts of earning nearly five awards per day in 2006. Among the impressive awards won are a listing in Business Week's "InfoTech 100" and a number one ranking by the Wall Street Journal for quality products and services.
ASUS is on a mission: to provide innovative IT solutions. Quality, speed, innovation, service, and cost-efficiency are the cornerstones of their foundation. Their passion for technology and quality is at the heart of their business processes.
